itinerary
You will be picked up anywhere from Haridwar and then transfer to the hotel. If time permits then you can visit ancient Hindus temples followed by evening traditional Aarti ceremony at Har Ki Pauri, a popular landmark on the bank of river Ganga.
Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then drive to Barkot. En-route Mussoorie way pass. On arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Barkot.
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then drive to Jankichatti. Further you have to enjoy the trek of around 7kms to Yamunotri. As an optional you can also opt Horse or Pony ride.
Later proceed to visit Yamunotri Temple - a famous Hindus temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. This temple is also the popular one as a first step for the beginning of Char Dham yatra.
Later visit Surya Kund - a famous hot spring where several pilgrims cooked Potatoes and Rice to serve in Prashad. A holy place which is located in the vicinity of Yamunotri shrine. A perfect example of faith in spirituality.
Evening return to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.
Breakfast at hotel and then moving towards Uttarkashi. On arrival and proceed to visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple - a famous and oldest Hindus temple of Uttarkashi. Temple is located on the bank of Bhagirathi river and dedicated to lord Shiva. Lord Shiva shivling is established in the temple which is 56 cms tall. You can see magnificent views of mountains surrounding the temple.
Later visit Shakti Temple - You can see the "Trishul" which is 6mts tall and 90 cms in diameter. It is made of an iron and copper combination. It belongs to Maa Durga and represents a symbol of Shakti tol kill demons.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Breakfast at hotel and then drive to Gangotri. On arrival, proceed to visit Gangotri Temple - an important Hindus temple, located in the town of Gangotri. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The temple is surrounded by breathtaking Himalayas and River Ganga.
Also visit Ganges Glaciers - located at high altitude 4238m above Sea level. Later returned to Uttarkashi. On arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Breakfast at hotel and then drive back to Haridwar. On arrival and transfer to Haridwar railway station to board the train for onward destination.
